Department of Psychology
About 80 persons work at the department which is located in the Behavioural Sciences Building (Beteendevetarhuset). Over 650 undergraduate and graduate students a year study at the department. The department also runs the Psychotherapy Training Clinic where psychologists in training meet over 200 clients per year.
The Department of Psychology provides education within a variety of areas with the field of psychology. The department has the primary responsiblity for the Clinical Psychology Program and the Cognitive Science Program and the shared responsibility for the Program in Behavioural Analysis of IT Environments.
The research conducted at the department, and the graduate program, touches a broad spectrum of areas of study, but is particularly active in the fields of clinical psychology, perception and cognition, developmental psychology, environmental psychology, social psychology, neuropsychology and sports psychology.
